Gualaceo and Chordeleg Tour

At 8:30 am we drive about 45 minutes across the Pan-American Highway until we get the first town, St. Bartolome, famous for making guitars, and visit a workshop.

The next town is Chordeleg located 10 minutes from Gualaceo. This is a pre-inca town, known for its pottery and gold and silver jewelry where we can learn the art of the filigrana, then walk through its central square.

Finally we get to Gualaceo to visit two food markets to see the typical food and meals and the animal market the CUY, and after having lunch we visit a textile processing workshop where we will learn the looms that are important to develop the technique in shawls and ponchos.

A visit to a very know pottery seller is our last stop before having lunch and return to Cuenca at 4 pm approx.
