LA SELVA JUNGLE LODGE ( FIRST CLASS)
Winner of the Ecotourism Award from the World Congress on Tourism and the environment, La Selva Lodge sits high on the lake called Garzacocha, the cabanas come of the native design and are very comfortable. The food is the pride of the lodge. There are many possible excursions with English guide, some more physically challenging than others. Something for everyone. La Selva is near many trails, a 135 foot observation tower and a large butterfly farm. The combinations of adventures are limitless.

Features
Walk by a native’s house
Cross Garzacocha Lake. Two and a half to three hour walkon a purposely underdeveloped trail which has somephysical challenge. Half of the walk takes place in primary forest and the other half passes the huts of our indigenous neighbors along the Napo River.
Observation tower
Not far from the lodge you can observe many birds flying by at eye-level, wildlife of all kinds, and yes, a bird's-eye view of it all.
Ruth’s Trail
Across the Mandicocha lake, it goes on and on and on. Good place to look for Jaguars.
Night excursions
Canoe or walking trips after dark to view nocturnal animals such as caiman, monkeys, insects and owls. Sample the LA SELVA nightlife.
