PAPALLACTA
 Visit Quito and experience the natural wonders of Papallacta and the Antisana volcano! Papallacta has the particularity to have a very cold weather outside but very warms natural thermal water pools. The Papallacta Hot springs are perfect for anti stress therapy and recommended for your health. We offer two tour options:
Day Tour to Papallacta Hot Springs
We will pick you up at your hotel and head east crossing the Eastern Cordillera; (12.464 f.) one of the highest populated points on the route that descends to the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin. If the weather is good you will see the Sangay volcano (5,230m / 17,700 ft). After a two hours drive we will arrive at Papallacta , known for its hot springs and curative sulfate alkaline thermal waters. Here you have the chance to relax at one of the many pools of volcanic water at 3.800-m. After the hot springs we will make short walks around in the area to see the local flora, characterized by the polylepis ("paper tree"), unique for the unusual texture of its bark. We will eat lunch at the resort. And return to Quito in the afternoon.

Quito - Antisana - Papallacta Thermas, 2 days tour
Day 1.- (L D)
 Early morning, after breakfast a new world will be waiting for you- We begin the ascent to the Private Reserve of Antisana. First we arrive to Valle de Los Chillos, the agriculture and cattle Old zone of Quito, where nowadays youŽd still be able to look at old time properties. Afterwards we pass by the small town of Pintag, and we begin the ascent to the reserve passing by plantations of all colors and different products. YouŽll find some lagoons that were formed by the eruption of this volcano. We will se changes on the vegetation as we reach a greater height. We will see caras-caras, ibis, Andean gulls and with a little bit of luck even condors. We will reach 4000 mts height to the Lagoon of the Mica, and if the time allows, to the majestic Antisana the forth highest of our country with its 4704 meters high.. After Lunch at traditional Hacienda we will continue or trip down to Papallacta hot spring waters. Dinner and overnight at "Termas de Papallacta Lodge".
Day2.- (B L)
 After breakfast you can do self-guided walk, enjoy the spa, or relax at the thermal pools. This area also belongs to the Cayambe Coca Reserve with several footpaths where you will have the chance to observe a big amount of birds such us: Blue Winged Teal, Andean Duck, Andean Condor, Cinereous Harrier, Variable Hawk, Caracara, Merlin, Aplomado Falcon, Sword-billed Hummingbirds, and some other species that with a grateful vegetation will make this an unique natural experience. After lunch return to Quito.
